My client is a market leading company in the supply, manufacture, design, install and service of pumping equipment. Due to ongoing success they are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the external site teams. Joining an exciting and fast-paced external team, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual working alongside an electrical site engineer, installing, commissioning and servicing of pumping and related equipment. Mechanical Fitter Position Overview Attend nationwide installation and breakdowns when necessary and ensure that company call out policy is maintained Service, repair and assembly of pumps and pumping equipment Fitting pipe systems Be prepared to stay away from home occasionally when required Sharing a van with an Electrical Engineer When requested be available on a rota basis to provide standby cover over weekends and bank holidays Maintain company procedures and improve where possible Complete site reports after each visit, obtain a customer signature and submit promptly Be a good ambassador for the company, promoting all products and services at every opportunity Ensure that the company vehicle is stocked and van-stock and tools required at all times Identify training needs Mechanical Fitter Position Requirements Ideally a background in pumps, however other mechanical engineering/fitting backgrounds considered Pipe fitting experience is desirable Happy to work on waste water sites Confined space training – Desirable First Aid – Desirable CSCS – Desirable SSSTS – Desirable UK Driving licence Based within the Sheffield area Mechanical Fitter Position Remuneration Salary: £12.90 – £16.50/hr + bonus scheme Auto-enrolment into pension scheme, including Salary Sacrifice Private health care and insurance Hours will vary depending on the day, but typically 07:00 – 17:00 Flexibility to work hours over a 4 day period Access to the Help@Hand app – A remote service offering GP appointments, medical, financial and lifestyle advice without the wait 30 days holiday including Bank Holidays, increasing to 33 days after 12 months Potential to work contracted hours over 4 days An annual Christmas party Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
