Location: Based in our Ashwood Business Park Office, Ashington
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37hrs per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £37,046 per annum (inclusive of Car Allowance)

About the Development Officer Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced property or housing professional to join our busy Development team. The team deals with all aspects of Bernicia's new homes development programme.
The role of Development Officer is post contract and will involve:
- Contributing to the success of the development team through the delivery of the new homes development programme.
- Contributing to all aspects of development work including attending project meetings, dealing with handover of new homes, supporting PR activities and post completion scheme evaluation.
- Supporting the delivery and the effective handover of all new homes.
- Providing administrative support in relation to reporting on the post completion performance of schemes and internal controls, procedures and industry best practice.
- Preparing and coordinating information in accordance with all operational policies and procedures and all statutory, legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Administering the Homes England IMS system and liaise with partners as required.
- Undertaking post completion reviews.
- Co-ordinating checks at the end of the agreed defects period.
- Managing the commercial non-operational assets, ensuring all contractual obligations are met; asset value is protected and enhanced; contribute to the development of plans for the optimum use of assets in the medium to longer term.
About you:
- Experience in service delivery within a housing development delivery environment.
- Experience of collaborating and working as part of an effective team.
- Experience of research, analysis and report writing.
- Ability to use judgement and take ownership of decision making.
- Resilient and able to work under pressure.
- A full driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes.
