Then this opportunity within GB Metecc (UK) Ltd, to lead a new compliance testing team within a growing electronic product design and advanced manufacturing group, is for you.
GB Metecc is seeking an ambitious Senior Compliance Engineer to manage, develop, and run a new testing laboratory within a rapidly growing electronic product design and advanced manufacturing group (GBE). The successful candidate will initially be mentored by a highly experienced compliance testing expert before running the laboratory on their own and will report directly to GBE's Board of Directors, with an opportunity to join the board as the company grows.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Minimum 8 years' experience as an assistant lab manager or a lab manager
- Strong knowledge of UK and European testing standards across different industries
- Degree (BSc or higher) in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Communications & Radio Engineering, or a related field
- Effective communication – the ability to articulate ideas, improvements and their vision for GB Metecc
- Willingness to learn about testing standards in the UK, Europe, USA, and worldwide
- Ambition to grow your role and become a leader in the industry
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and regulatory issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- An interest in the use of AI strategies within a compliance testing framework (optional)
What will your role look like?
- Providing valuable input into the commercial growth strategy
- Attending and representing the GBE group at UK and International trade shows and conferences
- Work with the group to lead compliance testing strategies
- Manage our portfolio of long-standing pre-compliance testing clients
- Providing a key role in influencing how the strategy is built, with support from the Group's business development and marketing team
- Working alongside the Group's design engineers (hardware, software, firmware, industrial) to provide a compliance strategy and framework for new product design projects
- Assisting clients with compliance advice for product optimisation
- Managing the new testing laboratory with input into future development and equipment procurement strategy
- Represent GB Metecc at National and International EMC & CE Conferences
