Senior Technical Engineer Location: South Bank Responsibilities: Dive deep into tender documentation, offering invaluable feasibility insights. Provide support for their preconstruction team during tender stages, ensuring the alignment of design, program, and pricing. Extend your expertise to their live project production teams. Drive forward with tender technical queries and clarifications. Value engineering, helping to shape their bids. Showcase VSL’s technical capabilities. Design, whether it’s managing intricate designs by external consultants or leading simple temporary and permanent works designs for projects. Uphold technical standards while preparing the RAMS. Requirements: Holding a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline. Related post-graduate experience. Being chartered (MICE, MIStructE or similar) or on the path to achieve this status. An unyielding enthusiasm paired with a sharp eye for detail. Exceptional team spirit and interpersonal skills. A robust technical knowledge, especially concerning post-tensioned concrete structures. An interest in mending and reinforcing complex structures, be it bridges, water tanks, or edifices. Proficiency in English (bonus points for multilingual talents). Tech-savvy, especially with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email. An in-depth understanding of health & safety standards.
