Communications Officer – Birmingham A fantastic opportunity to join the Marketing and Communications team based at The Alexandra, Birmingham. The Communications Officer reports to the Head of Marketing and Communications and plays a key role in the team by implementing effective press and social media campaigns. Over the last 12 months we’ve worked on marketing and communications strategies for some of the biggest theatre shows on the UK touring circuit including The Book of Mormon, Pretty Woman, An Officer and a Gentleman and the world premiere of Here & Now – The Steps Musical. Our programme also includes a range of drama, music and comedy, as well as our very own venue programme including free monthly lunchtime concerts. The Communications Officer will deliver press and social media campaigns for shows in our jam-packed programme, whilst maintaining agency, producer and local press relationships. Live entertainment is a fast-paced environment that can involve last minute changes so you will need to be flexible and able to adapt to situations.
