A nursery in Essex is looking for a Nursery Practitioner and a Room Leader to join their growing nursery team in the following roles:.

  • Level 2/3 Practitioners
  • Room Leader (Level 3 and above)
  • Qualified Teachers (additional language skills are a plus!)

Main responsibilities of the Nursery practitioner/ Room Leader:

  • Provide a positive and happy learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children’s needs.
  • To lead and coach the Nursery Practitioners in the room. (Room Leader role)
  • Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
  • Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.

Requirement:

  • Be qualified to Level 2 / 3 or equivalent in childcare (highly desirable)
  • Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
  • Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS – Early Years Foundation Stages (desirable)
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with staff and parents
