Our client is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner for the Toddler Room & Preschool Room with a minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role, as well as a genuine interest in the childcare sector. The Nursery Practitioner will be directly responsible for creating and maintaining an engaging environment that is both stimulating and comfortable, while also establishing positive relationships with both children and their parents.
Key Duties:
- Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS
- Promoting and supporting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
- Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy
- Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Flexible in working hours if required.
- Support daily routines.
- Follow policies and procedures.
- Leading staff members and teams.
- Light cleaning duties.
- Maintain a high level of supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification
- Previous Toddler / Preschool Nursery Practitioner experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Work well in a team
- Great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS)
- Strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills and time-management
