With a strong focus on innovation and collaboration, my client leverage cutting-edge technology and data analysis to make informed trading decisions in real time. Their Quantitative Research team continuously optimizes trading strategies using modern statistical methods, while their trading infrastructure is refined and adjusted to changing market conditions. They seek a talented software engineer, proficient in C++ and Python to join their Trading Technology team. Based in London, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and extending the applications necessary for the hedge fund’s trading operations. This role offers a unique opportunity for constant collaboration with front-office traders, exposure to diverse trading strategies, and significant career growth within a dynamic and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities: Collaborating closely with traders to understand requirements and provide technical support for trading tools. Developing and maintaining back-end services critical for trading operations, including risk-related services and access to markets. Extending and optimizing trading applications, with a focus on real-time data processing and display. Contributing to the continuous refinement and adjustment of trading infrastructure to adapt to changing market conditions. Participating in a fully automated CI/CD pipeline and clustered, containerized setup leveraging Kubernetes. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in software development, preferably in trading or financial services.
