Production Operator – Welding and Soldering Focus Location: Farnborough This position will emphasise skills in welding, soldering, wire handling, and microscope work, making it ideal for individuals experienced in manufacturing on a build line. Key Responsibilities: Precision assembly and inspection of new and existing products, focusing on welding, soldering, and cable and wire management. Operate and inspect parts using microscopes to ensure product quality in line with production standards. Collaborate on problem-solving initiatives for new product introductions (NPI). Provide hands-on support in NPI processes, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production. Identify and recommend foolproof tooling and assembly aids to improve production accuracy. Assist in training operators, particularly in welding and soldering techniques. Ensure all production documentation is up to date and legible. Utilise problem-solving tools such as PDCA, 5 Whys, and Cause and Effect to drive continuous improvement. Work closely with the Engineering department to troubleshoot and enhance production processes.Qualifications/Skills/Experience: The ideal candidate will have: Proficiency in welding, soldering, or brazing.
