Established supplier of exterior lighting solutions requires an experienced Lighting Engineer to join a new growing team to design lighting schemes of any degree of complexity. Reporting to the Lighting Applications Manager, successful candidate for the position of Lighting Engineer should have previous experience in Lighting Design (any sector accepted), be proficient in Lighting Reality, Dialux, Relux or AGI32 software packages (alternative packages considered) and have knowledge of applicable lighting design standards BS5489-1 and EN13201. Offered as a permanent contract with competitive salary and company benefits, the position of Lighting Engineer is available with immediate start. Key responsibilities as Lighting Engineer: * Design of lighting schemes to deadlines set * Understanding all methods, standards and regulations relating to lighting applications * To fully understand the application of lamps, luminaires, and photometric data by technical appreciation * Communicate, verbally and in writing, to customers and other staff, on all levels on topics * Conducting site surveys and finishing job appraisals as required * Always conveying a professional manner * Assisting the Lighting Applications Manager with the departmental workload/achievement of departmental KPI’s * To create, maintain and manage workload task list Skills/attributes required by Lighting Engineer: * Full Driving Licence – essential * Lighting design experience (any sector as training will be provided) * Proficient in Lighting Reality, Dialux, Relux or AGI32 software packages (similar packages considered) * High attention to detail * Knowledge of applicable lighting design standards BS5489-1 and EN13201 – desirable * Good project/time management abilities Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Hours: Monday to Friday 08:45 – 17:00 Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 p.a. dependent upon experience Benefits: Company Pension, Life Assurance and Bonus Scheme If you have the relevant skills and experience to fulfil the role of Lighting Engineer, please APPLY TODAY
