Logistics Coordinator

First Achieve’s Engineering Division have a fantastic opportunity for one of our clients in the Livingston area. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier to Aerospace industries, with a strong presence globally.

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator, who has an interest in quality.

• Salary Circa £30,000
• Permanent Role
• Day Shift, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of the position:

• Day to Day coordination of freight and transport operations.
• Collate production, inspection and test information
• Coordination of test rings & input of results
• Preparation and control of all relevant documentation
• Willing to undergo training, to assist in other areas of the business.

Key area Responsibilities:

• Liaise with shipping and transport providers to manage road/rail/sea/air freight of product
• Organisation of miscellaneous transport services for all activities
• Work with shipping companies to make most efficient use of container and vehicle space and cost
• Produce all necessary certification and shipping documentation
• Maintain finished product records using ERP systems, ensuring these are accurate and retrievable.
• Assist in the recording of spend against shipping budget, and assist in identifying cost effective ways to provide shipping and transport requirements
