The Role:
The Network and Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, securing and developing the IT infrastructure to ensure the continued provision of secure network, cloud and remote resources across the ICE Group. This role is essential to supporting multiple business models, ensuring infrastructure stability and enhancing service delivery to internal users across the ICE Group, TTL (commercial activities), OGGS (events) and Ben-Fund (charity).
You will lead the management of the MIS ServiceDesk, oversee the lifecycle of IT incidents and ensure effective technical support across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line. The role demands a hands-on approach with advanced knowledge in networking, cloud computing and cybersecurity. This role is predominantly onsite with some flexibility to work from home.
Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the operation of key IT components including Microsoft Teams Telephony, hybrid server environments, networking, cloud platforms and O365 ecosystem. Ensure MIS Service Desk SLAs are consistently achieved.
- Network and System Security: Design, implement and maintain secure access to internal and cloud-based systems. Manage hybrid cloud security solutions, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and access control policies. Monitor and mitigate security risks, responding to security alerts to protect infrastructure and data.
- Technology Leadership & Research: Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in hybrid cloud environments, threat detection and cybersecurity. Provide technical leadership on system upgrades, infrastructure improvements and new technologies.
- Disaster Recovery & Data Protection: Implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity during critical failures. Lead the management of infrastructure stability and development, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of technical engineers, balancing workloads and ensuring knowledge transfer. Provide guidance to the ICT team and participate in cross-departmental projects to enhance IT service delivery.
- Crisis Management & Incident Resolution: Lead complex technical incident resolution and manage disaster recovery processes. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for critical system support.
Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience managing a technical engineering support team and handling IT infrastructure operations in a medium-to-large organisation.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, VMware Virtual Infrastructure, Office 365, network security and cloud-based systems.
- Extensive experience in managing hybrid cloud environments, networking protocols, firewall management, VPN technologies and cybersecurity platforms.
- Proven track record in leading IT infrastructure projects, managing ITIL-based service desk systems and applying data protection and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience in handling large-scale systems implementations, with hands-on knowledge of Data Centre operations, Microsoft Server configurations and cloud backup solutions.
Technical Qualifications:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in IT-related fields.
- Microsoft Associate Certification or higher (e.g., CCNA, VCP, MS Azure Security/Solutions Architect).
- ITIL and/or IT Service Management qualifications are required.
