Job Role:
We have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our award winning sales team. Opportunity to be based in the office or from home with expectation if home working to be in the office at least one day per week. A Sales Manager you will pro-actively source new business whilst Account Managing Current Accounts from the North region, developing relationships with agents and direct clients to keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace.
Job responsibilities:
- Follow up on all sales leads, identify opportunities, conduct off site sales presentations, appointments and hotel site visits
- Maintain up to date knowledge of local businesses and develop relationship to drive share in all segments, i.e. MICE, team building, sporting groups and banqueting events
- Identify networking opportunities with key target industries
- Develop customer accounts and travel within the North Region to develop relationships as required to drive business
- Work within current business strategies and recognising potential opportunities
- Showrounds and client events, as required (accommodation and travel provided)
- Attendance at high profile corporate exhibitions with one to one appointments and personal selling of all Carden Park products including but not limited to conference and meeting facilities, team building and banqueting
- Grow relationships with clients with the objective to convert bookings for conference, events and meetings
- Regular communication with the Director of Sales and team colleagues based at Carden Park
- Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Director of Sales and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads
- Partake in team meetings and training sessions
Our ideal candidate:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a MICE market Business Development Role
- Strong self-motivational skills
- Sales experience in corporate and agency markets
- Salesforce knowledge preferred but not essential
- Ability to network effectively
- Strong organisation and planning skills and the ability to prioritise appropriately
- Experienced in results-based, creative sales & marketing planning, execution and delivery
- Exemplary presentation and both written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with KPI’s Excellent presentation standards
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Knowledge of hospitality
- Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK MICE Agents and direct corporate clients would be preferable
- Experience in a hotel sales role with a proven track record to close sales
