We are looking for an experienced Principal Designer with Building Regulations capability to complement and manage the design and delivery of large scale office/workspace commercial and mixed-use developments. The role will suit someone with a background in Architecture, Engineering, Design, Health and Safety, and/or Project Management.
The PD(BR) role centres on planning, managing, coordinating, and monitoring Building Regulations compliance and could suit a wide range of candidates including:
- Experienced technical architects or architectural technologists
- Candidates with a design management or plans checking background
- Candidates with experience delivering Principal Designer services under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
If you have over 8 years' experience of project delivery as Principal Designer, demonstrable experience leading and/or managing design development, including Building Regulations compliance, please consider the following responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Planning: Planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating health and safety aspects of the pre-construction phase.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Pre-Construction Information: Helping gather and provide relevant pre-construction information to designers and contractors.
- Health and Safety File:
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM Regulations).
- Liaison with Principal Contractor:
