A highly respected and award-winning South East law firm is looking for a commercially minded and experienced individual to lead its Commercial Debt Recoveries team, based in Brighton. This is a strategic leadership opportunity to shape the future of a top-tier Legal 500 recognised team and drive continued growth across a well-established client base.
The Role
- You'll lead the Commercial Debt Recoveries team and help expand its portfolio of clients, overseeing a mix of portfolio debt recovery and broader commercial disputes.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a successful debt recoveries team
- Driving internal and external business development strategies
- Overseeing a varied caseload of commercial debt recovery matters
- Supporting lender clients, commercial businesses, and professional service firms
- Collaborating with other departments including Litigation, Corporate, and Real Estate
- Overseeing financial performance, billing, and resource planning
About You
- Substantial experience in commercial debt recovery work
- Proven ability to manage, grow, and lead a legal or recovery team
- Strong client handling and business development skills
- Commercially astute, with a pragmatic and solution-led approach
- Excellent communication and leadership qualities
- Experience with case management systems is desirable
- CICM qualifications and AML/FSMA understanding a bonus but not essential
