Location: London Bridge Our client, who is a Managed Service Provider (MSP), founded in 2002, dedicated to delivering top-notch IT solutions to our clients. The team is passionate about technology and committed to providing exceptional service. They are looking for a skilled IT Project and 3rd Line Engineer to join their team and help deliver successful projects for their clients’ businesses. The company has grown to 30 staff, with a dedicated ServiceDesk, Cyber, Projects & Accounts Management Team. Their client base has also steadily grown since 2020 via a number of small MSP acquisitions, and they’ve had a very successful integration with staff and clients alike. IT Project Engineer – Key Responsibilities: * Along with the Project Manager, the Project Engineer has the ability to technically lead, implement and deliver projects for their clients. * Design, implement, and maintain networking solutions, including WiFi, LAN, VLAN, WAN, High Availability and VPN. * Implement, manage and support Microsoft Azure environments, including Managed Desktops, storage, and networking. * Implement and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. * Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system management. * Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls and other security appliances including predominantly Fortinet equipment * Provide 3rd line support for complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to clients. * Ensure robust cyber security measures are in place, including threat detection, response, and mitigation. * Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions. * Document technical procedures, configurations, and project plans. IT Project Engineer – Skills and Qualifications: * Proven experience in a 3rd line support role and project delivery within an MSP environment. * Strong knowledge of networking technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.). * Expertise in Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking. * Proficiency in virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. * Advanced PowerShell scripting skills. * Experience with firewall configuration and management. * Solid understanding of cyber security principles and practices. * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. * Relevant certifications (e.g., Technical Degree, Microsoft Certifications, Azure Administrator, CCNA, VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
