Our client is looking for a multi-skilled Tutor/Trainer to support and deliver across a range of vocational subjects when required. The successful candidate must be versatile and have the ability to adapt delivery methods and vocations, depending on the cover required at the time.
Responsibilities:- Deliver training in areas such as Construction Trades (Plumbing, Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery), Hospitality, and Barbering.
- Prepare and deliver lessons that meet the training needs of the group, including basic literacy, numeracy, digital skills, language, and social/employability barriers to employment.
- Utilize existing delivery resources and prepare your own when necessary.
- Assist learners in identifying skills required for their career progression.
- Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
- Be flexible in delivery methods, providing differentiation and adapting quickly to learners' needs.
- Conduct daily tool/equipment checks, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed, prioritizing health and safety.
- Demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and train clients, helping learners realize their potential.
- Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, and Health and Safety.
- Hold or be willing to work towards a recognized Teaching qualification.
- Possess solid occupational experience in one or more of the required areas (e.g., Carpentry, Plumbing, Bricklaying, Barista, Barbering).
- Hold a Level 2 vocational qualification in a relevant subject as a minimum.
- Experience in delivering training or workshops to groups or providing on-the-job training.
- Have GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalents.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Confident, professional, and able to inspire and motivate others.
