The Role: An electronics client is looking for an experienced PCB Design Engineer (or an Electronics Engineer comfortable with PCB layout tasks) to join on an initial 6 month contract. You will support multiple projects involving 2 to 8 layer boards, working alongside the Electronics Design Engineers who handle schematic design. Your focus will be PCB layout using CADSTAR 16.
Key Responsibilities:
- PCB layout of multi-layer boards using CADSTAR 16
- Convert schematics into production-ready designs
- Prepare Gerbers, BOMs, and assembly drawings
- Ensure designs meet DRC, EMC, and DFM requirements
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience using CADSTAR (ideally CADSTAR 16)
- Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes
- Experience designing multi-layer, high-speed, or mixed-signal PCBs
