Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.
Working within a Research & Development which is science led and results driven, the Microbiology Speciality Biopharma lab performs a wide range of analytical analysis for a variety of food, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies to support research and innovation.
Duties include:
- Undertaking a practical role with supervisory responsibilities for a team of two within the Microbiology lab.
- Ensuring the projects performed are supervised effectively and accurately.
- Focusing on routine and investigative analysis of products using techniques such as Bioburdens, total viable aerobic count, endotoxins, and environmental monitoring.
- Training junior members of the team.
- Client contact and administrative support for the lab management.
- Maintaining the instrument and lab systems including checking and approving supplier’s reports (qualifications, repairs and preventative reports).
Successful candidates will have accountability and responsibility for the testing team, line management/people management experience, and a technical mind in microbiology.
