We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in programming languages and operating systems. The role focuses on software standardization, industry development, and ecosystem engagement to support Huawei’s software innovation across Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Represent Consumer Business Group (CBG) in international standardization bodies (e.g., ECMA, W3C, OCX) in areas including open source, software, and mobile OS.
- Contribute to the business software standards and technologies such as ArkTS/Cangjie, Atomic Services, HarmonyOS apps/kits, and open-source enablers.
- Provide analysis of emerging technologies and EU software-related regulations (DMA, DSA), with a focus on market openness and compliance.
- Coordinate with European and HQ teams for strategic alignment, reporting, and external communication.
- Drive pilots and application innovation with EU partners using our technologies and tools.
- Support CBG workshops, summits, and technology cooperation with European academia and institutes.
- Assist in project coordination, budgeting, and internal planning for CBG initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver concise reports on tech trends and policy.
- Experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android, or HarmonyOS) and software tools.
- Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
