About the role
To ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. The Payroll Administrator will handle all aspects of payroll processing, assist employees with payroll-related queries, and maintain detailed records to support the business’s financial operations. Please note this is a 3 month fixed term contract.
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
- Maintain payroll systems and records, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee data (e.g., salary, tax, and benefits).
- Ensure adherence to payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, including statutory filings such as PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and other deductions.
- Assist with end-of-year processes, including issuing P60s and P45.
- Address payroll-related queries from employees in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide support for timesheet management and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in processing and implementing salary reviews and pay adjustments as directed by management.
- Ensure all changes are reflected accurately in payroll systems and employee records.
- Support with administration tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxation, and statutory requirements.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee data.
