Job Advert: Maximo Consultant – IT Engineer (CAFM Systems) Location: Manchester, London or West Sussex (some travel required) Contract Length: 6 months Day Rate: £500 – £600 Inside IR35 A leading organisation in the infrastructure and facilities sector is seeking an experienced Maximo Consultant to join its IT team. This is a hands-on, specialist role focused on the operation, support, and enhancement of IBM Maximo within Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems. Key Responsibilities: Support and configure IBM Maximo to meet business and operational needs Collaborate on workflow, integration, and performance tuning Lead system testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure service quality Work across the full application lifecycle including release and change management Liaise with technical teams, end users, and stakeholders for continuous improvement Essential Skills & Experience: 5+ years in a similar Maximo-focused role 7+ years in structured IT service environments Strong IBM Maximo experience (v7.6 preferred), SQL/DB2 knowledge Understanding of integration tools: ESB, Web Services, WebSphere, SOAP Familiarity with supporting infrastructure: Windows Server, IIS/Apache, RDS Working knowledge of SQL, XML, Python/JavaScript CI/CD experience using Microsoft DevOps Background in related sectors such as Civils, Construction, or FM Desirable: ITIL awareness, SC clearance or eligibility Experience with Maximo Anywhere, Scheduler, Cognos/BIRT, and WebSphere Knowledge of Azure Integration Services and mobile applications Qualifications: Degree in IT or a related field preferred Personal Attributes: Strong communication and documentation skills Proactive, organised, and adaptable under pressure Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
