Entrust IT, a trusted Managed Services Provider, is looking for a Field 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to support our growing client base in the Milton Keynes region. With over a decade of delivering high-quality IT solutions, we take pride in offering expert support to a diverse range of organisations — and we’re ready to welcome a talented engineer like you to our friendly and professional team. Key Responsibilities of the Field 2nd Line IT Support Engineer: Supporting client IT environments remotely and on-site, bringing clarity and resolution to technical issues Diagnosing problems, resolving incidents, and escalating when necessary to 3rd Line colleagues Building strong, trust-based relationships with our clients by being approachable, dependable, and solutions-focused Using high-quality tools in a well-supported and organised environment Taking part in our team on-call rotation (1 week in several), ensuring consistent support to our valued clients What We’re Looking For: Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT support experience, including experience with on-site networking Strong communication and problem-solving skills — you\’re calm under pressure and naturally helpful Broad technical knowledge across organisations with 20-500 users A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel expenses subsidised) A home-based workspace suitable for occasional storage of spares Essential Requirements: GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C or above) Microsoft and/or CompTIA certifications Willingness to undergo a DBS check Desirable Experience: Windows Desktop & Server OS Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services VoIP, networking, broadband Remote Desktop (Citrix), ConnectWise, ticketing platforms Mobile device support, networked printers/scanners What You’ll Get in Return: Competitive salary £28,000 – £35,000 (based on experience) Remote-first working – enjoy the balance of home working and occasional site visits Supportive team environment – we value clear thinking, kindness, and collaboration Real variety – work with different clients and solve a wide range of technical challenges Professional growth – we’ll support your development every step of the way Ready to Apply?
