Job Description: Test Manager Salesforce CRM Implementation Location:Hybrid – Onsite in Newcastle 2 days per fortnight Outside IR35 Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead testing activities across a large-scale Salesforce CRM transformation for a public sector client. This role requires expertise in test leadership within both agile and waterfall environments, with responsibility for UAT management, test assurance of third-party suppliers, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout delivery. You will work closely with internal delivery teams, business stakeholders, and external suppliers to define and execute a test strategy that supports quality, risk mitigation, and successful service delivery. Key Responsibilities: – Define and maintain the test strategy and test plan aligned to agile and waterfall delivery phases. – Lead all aspects of test planning, execution, defect management, and test completion reporting. – Provide UAT management, including coordination with end users, test case validation, and defect triage. – Ensure appropriate test environments, test data, and tools are in place and fit for purpose. – Oversee testing activities of third-party Salesforce delivery partner and provide assurance on quality. – Coordinate testing for integrations with systems such as FOI/SAR tools, 8×8 telephony, Tableau, and Marketing Cloud. – Establish and report on key quality metrics including defect leakage, test coverage, and productivity. – Run regular test readiness, progress, and completion reviews. – Participate in sprint planning and support agile story definition and acceptance criteria validation. Required Skills and Experience: – Proven experience in test leadership roles on large, complex public sector projects. – Hands-on experience managing testing in both agile and waterfall environments. – Expertise in defect management, test planning, risk-based testing, and UAT coordination. – Experience assuring and reporting on third-party testing activities. – Excellent stakeholder engagement, reporting, and communication skills. – Familiarity with test tools and dashboards for test management and reporting. – ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent qualification. – Experience with Salesforce projects including Marketing Cloud and integrations. – Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and automation tooling. – Familiarity with GDS service standards and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility compliance. – Experience testing services in regulated public sector or government environments. – Experience exposure to GDS
