Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership are delighted to seek applications for a Senior Contracts Officer to join our Contracts and Commissioning Team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is fully committed to delivering positive outcomes for people who use Social Care services in Renfrewshire.

The post will support the planning and implementation of the strategic commissioning of social care services and the post holder will lead a team of Contracts Officers, responsible for ensuring the contractual compliance of a range of provider organisations.

You must have effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to prioritise your workload, work as part of a team as well as on your own. It is essential you have experience of contract management and/or quality assurance, experience of working in a Health or Social Care setting and experience of managing a team.

Reporting to the Contracts and Commissioning Service Manager, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain effective working relationships on behalf of the HSCP with service providers and other key stakeholders.

You must have knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and procedure, demonstrate an ability to operate from a strategic perspective, be diplomatic, discreet and comfortable with dealing with politically and commercially sensitive information and processes as well as being able to deal with challenge and conflict.

You will be educated to Degree Level or Equivalent and be able to demonstrate relevant professional experience. You will provide specialist knowledge and advice to partners and oversee the delivery of a risk-based contract monitoring programme. You will set service specifications and contribute to the development and operation of quality services.

You must have effective organisational, time management, influencing, negotiation skills and have the ability to write reports including committee papers, strategies, option appraisals and briefings. Experience of procurement processes, working with regulatory bodies and practical experience of working with Health and/or Social Care systems is desirable but not essential.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
