The Head of Infrastructure Management for Enterprise Technology reports to the Engineering & Architecture Lead. This strategic professional stays current with developments in their field and contributes to the company's strategic direction by applying their expertise to their role and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority in their area, requiring basic commercial awareness. They often collaborate with others with similar expertise and must possess developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince colleagues and external customers. Responsibilities:
- Oversees a team of Infrastructure Engineers, ensuring effective management and coordination of infrastructure efforts.
- Collaborates with Solution Architects and Engineering Managers to understand infrastructure requirements based on the Book of Work.
- Proactively monitors and manages costs globally across all applications’ components, including software licenses, suggesting alternatives in partnership with Solution Architecture to effectively manage on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
- Works with Production Support, Engineering, and other stakeholders to identify and remediate infrastructure issues globally.
- Forecasts future infrastructure needs in collaboration with Solution Architects and Engineering Managers.
- Reviews capacity planning based on current and future needs.
- Engages with Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) to address End of Vendor Support (EVS) hardware issues.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with various infrastructure deployment options on-premise.
- Knowledge and proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure acceptable). Cloud certifications required.
- Managerial experience in creating business cases and evaluating technology options.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop partnerships with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
