We are working in partnership with a leading investment management firm to find a dynamic Risk Business Partner with a strong background in Investments. This is a key role within their second line risk function, offering the chance to shape the risk agenda across their investment teams and contribute directly to the firm’s long-term success.

This role offers hybrid working and will require 1 day in their London office and 1 day in their Crawley office and 3 days WFH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with investment leadership to assess and manage risk across strategic and operational activities
  • Lead the development of risk assessments, including scenario analysis and remediation planning
  • Monitor risk exposures against appetite, identify variances, and recommend optimisation strategies
  • Support the preparation of board and senior management risk reports and MI to inform decision-making
  • Review and provide input on risk aspects of investment-related projects and initiatives
  • Track and analyse key risk indicators, identifying potential trigger events and performance trends
  • Lead reviews of governance, investment programs, and control frameworks to ensure alignment and compliance
  • Influence the strategic direction of risk management by integrating external insights and regulatory developments
  • Drive continuous improvement in risk practices and promote a strong risk-aware culture
  • Ensure adherence to the Group Risk Framework, Treating Customers Fairly principles, and company values
Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a risk management role within the investment or asset management sector
  • Strong understanding of investment products, strategies, and market risks
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and governance standards
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Skilled in analysing risk data, developing insights, and communicating findings effectively
  • A proactive, commercially-minded approach to risk partnering and business support
  • Experience with risk reporting and oversight in a regulated environment is highly desirable
