About the Role
On behalf of our client - a well-established manufacturer of mineral-based products with a strong focus on quality and sustainability - we are recruiting for a hands-on Production Operator to join their team at their site in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operator to be part of a collaborative and supportive production environment, where responsibilities are shared, and safety and precision are at the heart of everything they do.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday Rotating 3-shift pattern:
- 06:00-14:00 (Mornings)
- 14:00-22:00 (Afternoons)
- 22:00-06:00 (Nights)
8-hour shifts on a weekly rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure consistent and efficient production processes
- Load and unload tankers in accordance with site safety protocols
- Conduct material testing and sampling to maintain quality standards
- Record process parameters accurately and maintain up-to-date production records
- Fill and remove bulk bags (FIBC/"big bags") safely and efficiently
- Ensure packaging and labelling of both intermediate and final products meet the required specifications
- Follow all site procedures for product quarantine, emergency responses, and health & safety
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-skilled team, rotating duties where required
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years' experience in a process or manufacturing environment
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited) - essential
- Previous experience with powder or mineral-based materials is desirable
- Comfortable working with operational documentation and adhering to quality standards
- IOSH Working Safely certification is an advantage, but training can be provided
- A strong team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail
