The Client & Distribution Portfolio is at the heart of our client experience strategy, as we continue to simplify and digitise our client interactions to transform how we market, acquire, service, and report to our UK & international clients. As Project Manager, you will be partnering with the Distribution business to deliver initiatives that support this strategy with a key focus on two key areas:
- The integration and governance of digital media source data from various channels to support real-time marketing optimisation.
- The delivery and operationalisation of client analytics capabilities that inform segmentation, journey analysis, retention strategies, and personalised engagement.
You'll work across multidisciplinary teams - marketing, technology, data science, compliance, and external partners - to ensure that data infrastructure, project delivery, and business value remain aligned. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with a deep understanding of data in the digital marketing and customer insight space.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Lead on client transformation initiatives working with the business to define clear and compelling goals, business outcomes and plans to execute their delivery.
- Lead and own the delivery roadmap for your respective initiatives.
- Lead and drive your initiatives in line with priorities set out by MGG ExCom and Distribution Heads of Business.
- Provide leadership for your initiatives including responsibility when applicable for ongoing development of M&G client-facing systems and data, simplifying the service model, improvement of processes aligned to a wider vision of the experience value chain (marketing, sales and distribution, client service, client reporting).
- Creating Project and Project structures that support business and technology teams deliver effect.
- Lead and mentor project teams ensuring best practices are embedded within the portfolio.
- Ensure technology and business change controls are observed when delivering initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and meet their delivery requirements, coordinating, consolidating, and prioritising demand and managing dependencies.
- Accelerate feasibility, design, and delivery in support of business outcomes to support improvement of the overall control environment and ensure great client outcomes.
- Have ownership and accountability to deliver complex initiatives on behalf of the Sales, Servicing and Marketing Teams.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Expert knowledge of distribution and client servicing systems, data, processes, and emerging trends.
- Experience in project portfolio management, including project delivery within asset management.
- A proven ability to influence and persuade stakeholders up to C-suite, coordinating and meeting demands from multiple stakeholders.
- An experienced change leader, capable of creating and delivering strategic plans, with accountability for several million £ budgets.
- Experienced leading teams of direct staff, matrix staff, and strategic partners.
- Experience of project management methodologies and Agile methods preferred alongside client and ABOR data and client analytics.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager, and Client Reporting solutions.
- Define project scope, objectives, risks, and delivery timelines; manage cross-functional teams in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment.
- Maintain clear documentation including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, project plans, and reporting frameworks.
- Coordinate with compliance, legal, and information security to align solutions with regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Present progress, findings, and recommendations to leadership, and manage stakeholder expectations across the organisation.
