A senior level contributor role within our Product & Service Value Proposition Management team responsible for shaping the long-term strategy for the function and will manage and execute initiatives that provide short to medium term business benefits. It will make decisions within the limits of established policies and procedural guidelines escalating where appropriate.

The role will support the delivery of the business strategic priorities, through measurable action and validation of activities, including but not limited to commercial objectives (P&L, balance sheet), sales funnel optimisation, effective marketing, pricing processes and tools (i.e. speed to market is critical in driving value).

The difference you'll make:

  • Setting overall pricing strategy for new business and retention including setting budgets (market share, volumes, margins, returns, conversion rates etc)
  • Accountable for pricing proposals and implementation, from initial market analysis through to approval and implementation
  • Delivering detailed analysis to support proposals (i) channel & segment optimisation (ii) balance sheet outcomes (iii) net interest income associated with all new business & retention flows
  • Engaging with Homes Propositions Team to ensure any new product feature requirements are scoped, prioritised and implemented in a timely manner
  • Identifying & managing risk (across function as appropriate)
  • Third party engagement with sourcing systems / aggregators to ensure product placement and speed to market is optimised

What you'll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to provide senior level input and execution of wider function 3-5yr business plan
  • Excellent analytical skills - drives usage of analytics & other insight to inform strategic direction / pricing proposals
  • Extensive Mortgage experience and commercial acumen
  • Should be able to lead pricing proposals to help deliver commercial objectives

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, meeting deadlines and escalating where appropriate
  • Excellent communication skills & influencing with the ability to tailor style to appropriate audience and achieve specific outcome through coaching
  • Sound knowledge of wider business, economic & market environment, providing input into strategy as a result

What else you need to know:

This role can be based in either Milton Keynes or London. We want our people to thrive at work and home and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

How we'll reward you:

As well as a competitive salary, you'll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs. Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus. We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don't contribute yourself. We'll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer. 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year. £6,000 car allowance per year.
