Are you looking for a new opportunity to join a successful and growing business? Look no further! Our client, based in Chelmsford, is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities: As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company. Your main duties will include: Performing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Conducting bookkeeping and reconciling purchase ledger accounts. Investigating and resolving purchase ledger discrepancies to maintain accurate product costing. Reconciling multicurrency bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy. Managing supplier statements and reconciling any discrepancies. Assisting with intercompany transactions, invoicing, and reconciliation. Contributing to month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset register (FAR) maintenance. Meeting monthly processing deadlines to keep operations running smoothly. Assisting in the preparation and filing of VAT returns. Accurately calculating and reporting VAT on imports and exports under the UK’s Postponed VAT Accounting system. Processing monthly deferred revenue and maintaining relevant schedules. Tracking and analysing weekly sales revenue, providing detailed reports and insights to the Finance Director. Adhering to internal company standards and meeting internal/external audit requirements. Managing time effectively to meet KPIs for the role. Completing and managing Office for National Statistics (ONS) Business Surveys. Analysing stock levels, write-offs, and adjustments. Reconciling and verifying all company credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Calculating employee business mileage and maintaining records. Demonstrating excellent knowledge of Sage 50. To be successful in this role, you will need: Extensive experience in a similar Management Accountant role. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent knowledge of Sage 50. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
