This is a brilliant opportunity for a Cloud Architect to join a well-known aeronautical company to be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across IT and 3rd party partners to drive cloud migration, optimise cloud environments and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards. You will report to the Head of Platform Architecture and work collaboratively with teams to deliver scalable, efficient Azure based solutions. You will be key in driving the Azure strategy, setting standards, and talking about roadmaps.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and implement cloud based solutions including storage, security configurations and network architecture
- Lead the planning and execution of migration initiatives; transition on-prem to cloud
- Ensure all cloud solutions meet security standards
- Design and manage automated infrastructure provisioning and deployments
- Work closely with stakeholders and 3rd party partners
Requirements
- Experience designing, deploying and managing large scale cloud environments across Azure
- Some AWS experience
- Understanding of core cloud services including networking, databases, compute, storage, application hosting and serverless functions
- Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates
- DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or cloud native DevOps tools
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement
- Ability to monitor and optimise cloud resource usage and costs using Cost Management dashboards or cloud native advisors
