AWS Infrastructure Engineer

Clearance Required – SC Cleared / NPPV3

Birmingham – 3 days/week

We’re looking for an experienced AWS Infrastructure & Support Engineer to join a dynamic public sector project, working across cloud and on-prem systems. This hands-on role involves maintaining infrastructure, automating processes, and supporting secure, high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain on-prem infrastructure (network switches, firewalls, desktops, Linux/Windows systems)
• Automate operational tasks using Shell, PowerShell, Ansible , and other scripting tools
• Implement patching and vulnerability remediation across infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex support issues (L2/L3)
• Assist in writing operational procedures alongside the Solutions team
• Monitor systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager
• Manage Active Directory, firewall/switch configuration, and hardware assets

Core Tech Stack – You do not need to have experience in all of the below skills, but must be willing to learn and upskill

• Systems: Windows & Linux admin, AD, GPO, DFS
• Cloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Automation: Terraform, Vagrant, Ansible, Shell, Python, PowerShell
• Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Node Exporter
• Security & Tools: Juniper Firewalls, Nexus scanning, Git, Jira, ServiceNow
