Role Purpose: The Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in bridging business strategy with technical execution. This ‘hands on’ role ensures that enterprise software solutions are designed and delivered in a way that enables operational efficiency, supports business goals, and delivers long-term value. The Solutions Architect acts as a trusted advisor to both business and technology teams, driving successful implementation of solutions that are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned to the organization’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Alignment: Translate business processes and functional requirements into solution architecture. Deliver implementation projects on time, on budget, and within scope, creating seamless integration with business processes and systems.
  • End-to-End Solution Ownership: Lead the configuration of software implementations, ensuring solutions reflect correct processes, are business-ready, future-proof, and deliver measurable outcomes. Oversee the Build/Configuration in line with the design and support the testing of the solution. Support development and delivery of training for Super Users and End Users.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with key business stakeholders to shape solutions, build buy-in, and ensure technology investments are aligned with operational needs and priorities. Build Stakeholder trust and confidence in solution direction and delivery.
  • Risk & Impact Analysis: Identify technical and business risks early in the project lifecycle and proactively address potential impacts on timelines, budgets, and business operations.
  • Governance & Assurance: Ensure all solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles, security policies, compliance requirements, and business continuity standards.
  • Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Work closely with third-party vendors and delivery partners to ensure solutions deliver expected value.
  • Continuous Improvement: Embed feedback loops and performance tracking to improve solution design approaches, implementation frameworks, and post-launch optimization.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to align complex technical solutions with clear business outcomes.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale software configurations.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, change management, and operational impact.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business leads, project managers, developers, and vendors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field desirable.
  • Recent and relevant experience in solution architecture / software implementation in engineering or related sector.
  • Certifications in project delivery (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2) are desirable.
  • Familiarity with business domains such as finance, supply chain, customer experience, or operations is advantageous.

This role at Amber Labs is a 6 Month salary based FTC position, and all employees are required to meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.
