We are recruiting a Senior HR Advisor to be based at the central London office. This is an operational role which will support the Civil Works Alliance on the Sizewell C project. Working as part of a small HR Team, the Senior HR Advisor will work very closely with the Senior HR Manager ensuring HR compliance with legislation and case law.

Be involved in day-to-day HR activities, providing professional support and accurate advice to managers and employees, especially associated with onboarding of new employees. Ensure compliance with HR policies across the project. Supporting the Senior HR Manager with HR process cycle, annual pay review, appraisal etc. Own the onboarding of staff on to the project, including monitoring vetting and managing the visa process. Determining the correct contractual and remuneration for new starters. Working within the team, this will include equal opportunities and diversity, resourcing, recruitment, employee benefits, employee relations, absence management and disciplinary and grievance. Produce accurate reports and analyse people analytics, identify trends to enable the business to make data led decisions. Help deliver an accurate and timely submission of all payroll related information. Implement and contribute to continual improvement and innovation ensuring the business is recognised for developing and delivering excellent people practices.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable success in operating as a Senior HR Advisor in a multi-discipline organisation.
  • Proven experience of operating efficiently and effectively with employment policies and procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Credible and comfortable in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Be patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable.
  • The ability to work autonomously with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of employment law to manage change the ER agenda creatively.
  • Experience of managing projects to successful conclusion.

You will ideally have:

  • MCIPD/post graduate human resources qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience in an Engineering/Construction environment.
  • Worked in an international company and used to dealing with complex visa requirements.
