About the Role

The CMS funds team is band 1 ranked and the practice covers both manager and investor side private funds, investment management, and secondaries. The team's clients range from new start-up managers to established international financial institutions. The role offers:

  • a range of GP and LP side work and secondaries;
  • the opportunity to work closely with the international CMS funds group, as well as the tax, regulatory and other sector teams in the UK, Europe and beyond;
  • opportunities to develop client relationships, for business development and to raise both your and the firms' profile;
  • excellent training and development opportunities; and
  • the opportunity to be part of a well-established and growing funds team.

About You

You will have excellent drafting and negotiation skills, the ability to translate legal theory into practical advice, sound judgement and good interpersonal and analytical skills. To meet the needs of the role, you will have an appropriate level of post qualification experience (5PQE minimum) in a leading law firm and have focused on funds and investment management. Ideally, you will have broad experience of fund formation, including some of private equity, credit, venture, real estate and infrastructure funds, closed and open-ended structures, LP-side advice on fund and co-investment investments, and secondaries.
