We are seeking a reliable and skilled PAT Tester to cover commercial properties across the South Coast.
- Travel: Daily travel to allocated sites, company van provided
- Working: Independent role, working alone.
What will I be doing in this role?
As a PAT Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring electrical safety across a range of commercial properties. You will be responsible for:
- Conducting Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on electrical appliances and equipment in line with industry regulations and company standards
- Ensuring all appliances are tested thoroughly, with accurate labelling and clear identification of pass/fail status
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of testing results, including equipment condition and any remedial actions taken
- Identifying, reporting, and escalating any electrical hazards or faults discovered during testing
- Providing clear and professional advice to clients on the ongoing maintenance, usage, and safety of electrical appliances
- Managing your daily workload efficiently to meet deadlines and customer expectations
- Representing the company in a professional manner while on client sites
This role involves travel to various commercial locations, so flexibility and a customer-focused approach are key.
What do I need to be successful in the role?
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A City & Guilds 2377 qualification in Portable Appliance Testing (or equivalent recognised certification)
- A good understanding of current electrical safety standards and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Good communication skills and the confidence to advise clients on safety and compliance matters
- The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and use initiative
- A full UK driving licence (as travel to various sites will be required)
