Are you a skilled maintenance leader with a passion for sustainability? We're recruiting a Technical Manager on behalf of a respected group of leisure facilities in the Oxford area, seeking an experienced professional to oversee the maintenance of building structures and services, while driving forward energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives. In this permanent role, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of sites, ensuring full statutory and contractual compliance while optimising the use of green energy systems to reduce dependence on the national grid. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and improve the Energy Management System to reduce energy usage and environmental impact
- Manage and develop a team of technicians and supervisors across multiple facilities
- Undertake refurbishment and new build projects
- Monitor energy expenditure and manage departmental budgets
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and contractual obligations
- Analyse utility data to identify and implement cost-effective, energy-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with operational teams and support capital projects focused on sustainability
What We're Looking For:
- Strong understanding of building maintenance, health & safety, and relevant codes of practice
- Recognised maintenance management or trade qualification
- Sound technical knowledge of building services including mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and CAFM (computer-aided facility management) systems
- Experience in multi-site facilities management
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK driving licence
