What skills and experience we\’re looking for
We wish to appoint anenthusiastic, proactive and professional colleague to join our strong anddedicated guidance team in the role of attendance manager.
The successful applicantwill lead the school\’s attendance team and work alongside colleagues inguidance and SLT to provide operational and administrative support to promotewhole school attendance strategies.
A significant amount ofthe work will involve identifying pupils for whom attendance is a barrier tolearning and working alongside these pupils and their families with the supportof external agencies to remove these barriers.A key group will be those pupils who are persistently absent.
The attendance managerwill lead on the co-ordination of home visits, undertaking a significant numbereach week, as well as all liaison work with the Local Authority attendanceteam.
