About the Role
As our Compliance Engineering Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring all engineering activities on-site meet and exceed regulatory and industry standards. You'll be responsible for organising and managing statutory compliance programmes across the Bridgwater site, ensuring our facilities remain legally compliant, efficient, and safe. From LOLER and PUWER to DSEAR and Legionella, you'll be the site's subject matter expert on engineering-related compliance. What You'll Be Doing
- Plan, organise, and oversee engineering compliance programmes, including scheduling, resourcing, and budgeting.
- Document compliance processes through applications, reports, and declarations of conformity.
- Maintain the site's engineering compliance database, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
- Support and participate in compliance audits and ensure timely action closures.
- Prepare detailed reports and analyse trends in compliance data.
- Stay on top of regulatory changes and ensure our practices are aligned.
- Actively contribute to engineering team meetings and support a positive, safe, and high-performing culture.
- Promote Health & Safety by following and championing site procedures.
About You
You’ll be a compliance champion with a strong technical background and a solid understanding of statutory engineering regulations. You’re comfortable working with documentation, audits, and performance data and you bring energy and organisation to everything you do.
Essential Requirements:
- Engineering NVQ Level 3 or 4
- 2+ years experience in a UK-based manufacturing or engineering compliance role
- Strong working knowledge of UK statutory engineering regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, LEV)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confident with managing technical documentation and databases
Desirable:
- Recognised accreditation in regulatory compliance
