We are working in partnership with Siemens PLC, a global leader in engineering and technology solutions, to recruit an experienced Electronics Engineer for their Project Services division in Rochester. This role will support Siemens’ expanding portfolio of transmission and grid-based energy solutions, helping deliver innovative infrastructure to the UK’s power network.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong foundation in power transmission, voltage control, and electronic systems design to work on cutting-edge technologies in the energy sector.

  • Provide in-depth product and systems support for Siemens' high-voltage and grid monitoring solutions
  • Assist in the configuration and commissioning of electronic systems to meet power transmission and voltage regulation standards
  • Deliver training and technical support to internal engineers and external customers across project lifecycles
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex field issues related to data acquisition, networking, and system interfacing
  • Participate in pre-sales engineering discussions and occasional Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Produce technical documentation, training materials, and configuration guidelines
  • Work closely with project and installation teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of power infrastructure solutions

Degree (or equivalent) in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, ideally with exposure to transmission and grid systems

Hands-on experience with RS232/RS485, microprocessor-based hardware, and power electronics

Understanding of network systems and configuration (e.g., switches, VLANs) in the context of industrial or energy environments

Full UK driving licence required for occasional site support
