We’re working with a well-established education provider looking to appoint a Head of Education to oversee the delivery and performance of their 16–18 Study Programme provision across multiple centres in Greater Manchester and the North West.

This is a senior leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong track record in Further Education or similar post-16 settings - particularly those who thrive in multi-site management and enjoy rolling up their sleeves to drive quality and performance.

The Role
  • Lead and manage provision across multiple centres in the North West.
  • Oversee a provision supporting around 1,000 learners.
  • Directly line manage a team of 6 with 40 indirect reports across curriculum, quality, and learner services.
  • Drive high standards in curriculum performance, teaching and learning, safeguarding, and learner outcomes.
  • Act as the lead contact for Local Authority engagement and represent the organisation at senior strategic meetings across Greater Manchester.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven leadership experience in 16–18 education - ideally with experience managing Study Programme provision, but strong FE or alternative post-16 leadership will be considered.
  • Ability to operate across multiple sites and get into the operational detail around curriculum, quality, and safeguarding.
  • Confident working with local authorities and external partners.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed etc).
Location & Travel

You’ll be based from one of the provider’s centres or head office, with regular travel across the North West—so it’s essential that you’re based in (or willing to relocate to) the region.

Salary: £60,000-65,000 + excellent benefits.
