We are recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician within the Engineering Department at Harwich International Port.
In this role you will use your engineering skills to carry out the electrical maintenance, repair, upgrade and refurbishment of heavy plant and machinery equipment (such as linkspans bridges, passenger boarding bridges, material handling equipment, etc) and electrical installations to buildings
Suitable applicants will have:
Minimum Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds) or ONC in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- Experience of working on LV electrical distribution systems, PLC’s and automated control systems.
- The ability to analyse and diagnose faults on electrical and control circuits. Making decisions on whether equipment is safe to operate.
- Ability to work proactively and unsupervised either independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to organise and complete work efficiently and effectively within required timescales.
This position will involve shift working, including weekends and on-call. Applicants should be able to work at height.
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and hold a full driving licence valid in the UK
