Lawes Consulting is proud to be partnering with a leading insurer to recruit a Regional Underwriter, based full-time out of their Chelmsford office. This is a high-impact position focused on underwriting cross class commercial products. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing broker relationships, underwriting risks, and contributing to the region's growth strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with a select panel of regional brokers
- Contribute to the delivery of financial targets and business objectives
- Take ownership of the underwriting and development of large, complex, and technical cases
- Establish yourself as a regional underwriting expert and technical point of reference
- Foster a strong culture of governance and risk awareness across the team
- Support and enhance relationships with strategic brokers and priority clients
- Assist in evaluating and strengthening the local broker distribution network
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within the broker panel
