Senior Project Manager Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) £53,688 Package. Benefits Staffordshire Police Stafford. Hybrid – 2/3 days on site. Role Purpose The Transformation team are responsible for overseeing and coordinating all major change or transformation activity across the DDaT department. This includes project delivery, resource scheduling, testing and portfolio planning. The DDaT Project Manager role holds responsibility for delivering projects to a professional standard, ensuring all resource activities are correctly managed, coordinated, governed and successfully delivered. Regular reporting on project status and progress is an essential expectation of the role, alongside risk management and benefits tracking. The post holder must hold a good understanding of project management best practices and be familiar with different approaches, as well as capable of overseeing multiple smaller changes and tasks are delivered concurrently. All progress against project deliverables need to be well documented and understood throughout the department. Effective stakeholder communication is essential, as is a strong technical knowledge for resolving and expediting project actions across the DDaT Department. As a Senior Project Manager your key tasks and responsibilities will include; Effective delivery of multiple DDaT / change projects, including sustainment or adaptive changes where designated; Effective delivery of projects which exceed £m budget or involve significant risk or criticality Ensure that project deliverables and costs are monitored and reported on throughout the project lifecycle; Expected to have proficient technical knowledge and experience in technical project delivery Management and coordination of 3rd Parties (Consultancy/Contractors) to ensure delivery against agreed Statement of Works Work together with strategic change function of complex delivery of complex change programmes Develop a benefit driven, task-focused delivery plan, and socialise this regularly with the delivery team to ensure everyone is aligned and engaged; Produce regular highlight reports against task delivery to an agreed quality and standard, both for internal project performance reviews and for stakeholder engagement meetings; Ensure controls are in place for managing Scope, Costs and delivery timeline; Be a recognised point of contact for DDaT change delivery, offering project management assurance and ensuring customer satisfaction; Manage relevant project risks, benefits realisation, and lessons learnt; Ensure that all delivery milestones are met in accordance with the project plan; Coordinate the alignment of any interdependencies for the project, especially when considering multiple sustainment or adaptive changes alongside larger packages of work being delivered by DDaT; Adopt recognised project management best practices (APM, Prince2, Agile or similar) Forecast the demand for technical resources throughout the delivery of the change project, and ensure that DDaT Managers agree to commit their resources to meet this demand; Contribute to new project procedures or policies, and support their successful implementation in order to steer project management best practice approaches across the team; Ensure the team continually promote the DDaT function through engaging with stakeholders wherever possible; As a Senior Project Manager you will have following experience; Essential; Industry recognised ProjectManagement certification Experience delivering multiple complex IT projects A degree or equivalent experience A working knowledge of project management best practices within a fast-paced IT environment Microsoft Project Experienced in financial Mgmt.
