The predicted salary is between 27600 - 38892 £ per year.

Location: Newport, South Wales

Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Working Hours: Monday to Friday or rota available. No less than 40hrs per week.

Salary: from £33,150-£46,410pa dependent on experience or qualifications

MDE Group UK LTD are recruiting for an HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our established clients growing team based in the Newport area.

You will ideally come from a time served HGV Technician/Mechanic background with an industry relative qualification and experience, or demonstrable experience. We're looking for 2 years experience.

Job Description:

  • Carry out routine inspections, using R2C workshop management.
  • Maintenance, servicing and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard.
  • Carry out a wide range of defect repairs from replacing a bulb to replacing brake discs and pads or even complete engine re-build.
  • Fault diagnostic and rectification using the latest manufacturers computer systems and tooling.
  • Experience of identifying and rectifying electrical issues.
  • Complete job cards and maintenance sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Able to multi-skill and have a flexible approach to working hours.

Requirements:

  • Diagnostics and electrical experience leads to the higher paygrade
  • Valid driver's license required
  • HGV C+E preferred
  • Industry recognised qualification or time served experience
