GBR Recruitment are proud to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturing / interior fit out installation business, recruiting for a dual experienced FP&A Management Accountant (must have both skills) but a bias towards the FP&A side of the role, with additional MA duties.
This position offers Hybrid working. The company welcomes applications from those with ACA, CIMA or ACCA accounting qualifications (FQ). An ideal applicant will have SAGE ERP systems experience, plus be an intermediate user of Excel, as well as being experienced in producing MI / KPI reports for Board & SMT review.
Duties:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Creating / maintaining budgets, forecasting future financial performance (e.g., revenue, expenses, cash flow).
- Performance Analysis: Analysing financial results, identifying trends, and comparing actual performance against budgeted figures.
- Financial Modelling: Building models to project the impact of various scenarios and make informed financial decisions.
- Decision Support: Providing insights and analysis to support management in making strategic decisions related to investments, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Reporting: Preparing MI / KPI reports and presentations for management, highlighting key financial data and analysis.
- Systems: Systems administration, systems reporting, plus support with system integrations, working with raw data such as pricing (stock / sales) and product code changes etc.
- Forward-looking & Backward-looking: Analysing financial performance, with a key focus on the future business strategies and proactive planning.
- Strategic Focus: Working closely with the SMT to understand business goals and translate those goals into financial plans.
- Management Accounts: Month end & Year end submissions, managing cash flow & working capital, balance sheets, AP & AR / General ledgers, journals, VAT Returns, WIP accounting, bank reconciliations, General ledger & Inter-company reconciliations, statutory accounts & close liaison with external auditors, support to the Financial Controller.
Attributes:
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA fully qualified Management Accountant / FP&A
- Manufacturing or construction sector exposure is ideal (not a must)
- Experience in both FP&A, plus management accounts is a must
- Strong in producing MI & KPI reports
- Sage experience
- Hands on, as a relatively small operational team.
