We’re working with a leading Cisco Partner based in Coulsdon, renowned for delivering cutting-edge network solutions to some of the UK’s most iconic commercial skyscrapers and smart buildings. With a close-knit, vendor-agnostic team and a reputation for engineering excellence, this consultancy supports major players in the construction space including MACE, Wates, and Robert McAlpine. Their work sits at the intersection of enterprise networking and building infrastructure, with a growing need for smart, scalable, and secure networks in multi-tenant commercial buildings.

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Presales Network Engineer to help shape and deliver the next generation of smart building connectivity. This is a hybrid role blending presales consulting, high-level design, and hands-on technical expertise across wired, wireless, and security technologies. You’ll be working closely with senior engineers, project managers, and customers to design enterprise-grade networks for large commercial builds — from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical presales resource, helping to scope and design enterprise network solutions
  • Support tenders for Landlord CNS (Common Network Services) in large-scale developments
  • Produce High-Level Designs and Bills of Materials (BoM) across multiple vendors
  • Work closely with the sales and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements
  • Meet with clients (primarily London-based) to discuss requirements and build trusted relationships
  • Be a key part of a growing, agile and non-corporate technical team

Tech Stack & Vendors

You’ll gain hands-on experience and design exposure to a multi-vendor stack including:

  • Switching, Security, and Wireless
  • Cisco, Meraki, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, Allied Telesis, and Juniper
  • OEM fibre connectivity across large commercial sites
  • Environments built for scalability, security, and high availability in smart buildings

Ideal Candidate

  • ~1–4 years of experience in enterprise networking, ideally with presales exposure
  • ~Comfortable putting together designs, diagrams, and BoMs
  • ~Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, wireless networking, and network security fundamentals
  • ~Experience working with or supporting multi-site or large commercial buildings is a bonus
  • ~Clear communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients in a professional manner
  • ~A genuine interest in multi-vendor environments and building infrastructure technologies

What You’ll Get

  • ~£45,000 base salary
  • ~4% annual dividend share scheme (paid EOB each year)
  • ~£0.45p per mile reimbursed for travel
  • ~A flexible working arrangement (after initial ramp-up)
  • ~A chance to work with top-tier construction and property firms in a booming sector
  • ~Exposure to interesting technologies and vendor-agnostic environments
  • ~A supportive, friendly, and non-corporate culture where your growth is a priority

Why This Role?

If you’re looking to step up from a purely technical or corporate environment into a client-facing, high-impact role with greater autonomy and design responsibility — this is your opportunity. You’ll join a consultancy that truly values engineering talent and is building the digital backbone of London’s most iconic developments.
