On behalf of a growing accountancy practice we are recruiting for an Accounts Senior for the firm s office on the outskirts of Oxford. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid working and flexible working options, that offers a good salary and benefits package, a supportive working environment and career development opportunities.
As Accounts Senior your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
- Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, manager and partners when required
- Developing and applying your technical and commercial knowledge
- Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors
- Building long lasting client relationships
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations
- Managing own workload in a timely and efficient manner to exceed client expectations
- Supervising, training and assisting more junior members of the team
- Build productive relationships with team members and colleagues, adopting a collaborative working approach
We welcome application from candidates with the following experience, skills and attributes:
- ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
- Minimum of 3 years UK practice experience
- University degree with a 2:1 or higher, or 3 good A-Level results
- Experience of FRS102 1A is essential
- Experience of SRAs, international accounts, consolidated accounts and/or charity accounts would be an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and client management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, specifically Excel, CCH, Sage and Xero and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
- A positive, confident and proactive attitude
- Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
- Enjoy working as part of a team and be self-motivated
- Ability and desire to develop junior staff
