An established and profitable SaaS business in the EdTech space is looking for a commercially minded Sales Director to join the senior leadership team and lead the next stage of their growth. Their platform is used by thousands of schools across the UK—supporting essential admin functions like online payments, trip management, and parent communication. With over £5m in recurring revenue and a 50+ person team, they’ve built a strong foundation. Backed by a global software group, the infrastructure is in place—what they need now is a strategic sales leader to take things further.

The opportunity

You’ll report directly into the CEO and have full ownership of the sales function—responsible for strategy, team leadership, performance, and commercial delivery. There’s a strong base to build from, but also space to re-shape how sales supports wider business ambitions. This is a chance to join a mission-led, commercially sound business with a high-impact product—and bring sharper commercial focus to a platform that’s already delivering for schools, staff and students alike.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, scale and develop the sales team (new business and account management)
  • Build and implement a clear commercial strategy that supports wider growth
  • Improve process visibility and performance through Salesforce
  • Define and deliver on key metrics: ARR, revenue growth, conversion, client retention
  • Partner with Product, Marketing and Operations to align on go-to-market activity
  • Spot new market opportunities and build a plan to capture them

What they’re looking for

  • Proven track record in a senior SaaS sales role (Sales Director, Commercial Director, etc.)
  • Comfortable leading a team and owning both strategy and delivery
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and a data-led approach to commercial leadership
  • Experience in EdTech, payments or education-focused SaaS is a strong plus
  • Capable of working closely with C-suite and influencing cross-functional decisions
  • Hands-on where needed, but strategic in thinking

Why this role?

  • Strong recurring revenue and trusted product already in use across the UK
  • Backed by a global software group—offering investment and long-term career paths
  • A chance to make commercial decisions that directly improve access and outcomes in education
  • Hybrid model with flexibility, but real leadership presence in the office when needed
